Accessibility statement

Last updated 30 Oct 2026

We design CV Pod to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That's our target. We're aligned with it, not certified.

What we do

  • Video answers have captions on by default, placed below the picture so they never cover a face.
  • Every answer, video or voice, has a transcript beside the player.
  • Nothing autoplays. You can play at 0.75x to 1.5x speed.
  • Voice only gets exactly the same space and weight as video.
  • Tap targets are at least 44 by 44 pixels, and most are 48 pixels tall.
  • Layouts reflow at 320 pixels wide and at 200% zoom.
  • Status is never shown by colour alone. Every chip carries words and an icon, and self-declared proof uses a dashed outline.
  • Reading text is never smaller than 16 pixels, and text contrast is at least 4.5:1 in both light and dark themes.
  • Motion is gentle and switches off completely when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Tooltips open on tap and on keyboard focus, not only on hover.

Known gaps

  • Answers need recorded speech. In this early version you can't complete a Pod without recording spoken answers. We're working with disabled users on a supported alternative before launch.
  • You need photo ID to complete the real-person check today.
  • We haven't yet measured transcript accuracy across accents. Automatic transcripts can be less accurate for some accents. The recording is always the source of truth, and candidates can add a transcript note.

How we test

We test with screen readers, keyboard-only use and 200% zoom, in both light and dark themes.
